Dr. Herschman is owner and Director of the Center for Pain Management. Since 1988, he has worked in Critical Care/Trauma, including working as Director of Critical Care and Respiratory Therapy at the Elmhurst hospital Center in Queens and Island Medical Center, Hempstead, NY; and as Director of the Critical Care Section of the Department of Anesthesiology, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Livingston, NJ.

Northshore University Hospital, in Plainview and Syosset, NY; Beth Israel Medical Center, in Brooklyn; the Department of Anesthesiology, Newark Beth Israel Medical Center, Newark, NJ, and the Department of Anesthesiology, Livingston, NJ.
Dr. Herschman is licensed in Medicine in New York, New Jersey and Illinois and is a Fellow of the American College of Acupuncture. He has the following licensure and Certification: American Board of Anesthesiology; Special Qualification in Critical Care Medicine and Pain Management, American Board of Anesthesiology; and Pain Management from the American Academy of Pain Management.
His current academic appointments include: Senior research Fellow, Neuroscience Group, F. R. Carrick Institute for Clinical Ergonomics, Rehabilitation, and Applied Neurosciences of Leeds Metropolitan University, Bay Shore, NY.
Dr Herschman is a B.A. graduate of the College of City University of New York, and an M.D. graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York City. He is currently a PhD student at the CUNY Graduate Center-John Jay College of Criminal Justice Campus.
